So I've talked about Zivity before. It's a pinup site that the real life Sarah and I work for sometimes.

Anyway, we put a new photoset of her up there this week, including this shot that is pretty much my all time favorite of her.

We're also running a couple contests there. So if you happen to be a Zivity member, head on over there and vote for our set "Black and Light." The person who votes the most times before the end of will win an 8x10 print. Sarah has promised a "secret prize" to whoever votes the most on any of her most recent four photosets (they're not all by me). So I've offered that if the person who votes the most, also voted the most on my set (again, that's Black and Light) that I'd make it a 16x20 print instead. So you'd win a couple things. What could be better than that?

And if you're not a member of Zivity, well then by all means, go sign up there now. What are you waiting for? Even if you didn't win, you'd get to see tons of hot pictures of your favorite over sexed hellcat (well, or even better, the real life model that she's based on) and tons and tons and tons of pictures of other gorgeous women in various states of undress. I can't recommend it enough. So check it out!

Cyberpunk-Damsel.jpgI guess maybe I've been on a post-apocalypse kick with the photography lately.

A couple weeks after I did the shoot with Chaste, I ended up doing a similar concept with Damsel.

Typically, I actually do a lot of photoshoots in my studio, so being able to get outside and do some higher concept stuff was really fun.

I hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think. The girls and I always like feedback.

One of the things that I've always thought made the Hellcats special compared to other ridiculous oversexified badgrrl comics is that not only are our girls hot but they're all based on real life models.

It's always been our intention to regularly post pics of the real life girls from my photoshoots with them, but I keep getting sidetracked along the way. So here's an attempt to fix that.

I had a shoot with Chaste a few weeks ago. She looks a little different right now, her hair is short and blonde, but as you can see, she's just as much a homicidal maniac in real life as she is in the comic.

Enjoy!

The Cosmic Hellcats, Max and I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish everyone out there a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Joyous Kwanzaa, Festive Festivus, or a Purrfect Ceiling Cat Ascension Day. Whatever it is you celebrate on your planet and in your country.

Sarah and I took this during our most recent photoshoot for the website Zivity. She'll be featured as their special Christmas model on December 25th. So if you want to see her entire sexy Christmas set then please go to Zivity.com and join to support us. We hope to do lots more over there in the new year. Come on, she's hot. You know you want to.

In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this shot and I hope you're enjoying the comic. Send us any feedback at feedback@cosmichellcats.com, and remember you can still contact Sarah to ask her questions at asksarah@cosmichellcats.com.

And don't forget to come back here on Thursday for the latest Cosmic Hellcat Adventure.

So, no matter what holiday you're celebrating this season:

Happy Non-Denominational Yuletide Winter Holiday!

from the entire Cosmic Hellcats Crew.

Damsel-lingerie.jpgIt was always our intention here at Cosmic Hellcats to feature the real life Hellcat models in conjunction with the fictional strip. But lack of time and other commitments have gotten in the way and I haven't been able to get as many shoots up of the girls as I would otherwise like.

Well, that clearly has to change. So I decided that since the Christmas Holidays are coming up and its so cold outside, I'd help all of our fans warm up with some Out-of-character (and clothing) pics of the girls.

Hopefully it won't be too long before I have time to put even more shots of them up.

In the meantime, I'm looking for suggestions from you the readers. What do you want to see, both in the strip and on the site? Lots of people have asked for us to introduce more characters, and that will be coming after the current story arc ends.

But what else are you looking for? What do you like? What do you not like? Do you prefer our storyline driven scripts or do you like it when we go for more humor oriented stories? Do you like when we stick with one character or subplot for several strips in a row or do you prefer when we jump around and let you see a little of everybody? Who are your favorite characters? Who do you want to see more of? Or less of?

And out of the strip, what other things should we be adding to the site? We've considered contests, more merchandise (t-shirts, and the like), a series of "serious" text stories featuring the characters. Guest strips. More "Ask Sarah!" advice columns? But what would you like to see?

Any suggestions or comments you may have, please leave here or send them to us at feedback@cosmichellcats.com. Also send us mail there if you have any fanart or pics and we'll get them posted here as well. Hope to hear from you soon.

Happy Holidays,
-Mav

Sarah with wrench.jpg
So there's a new feature here at Cosmic Hellcats that we've wanted to try for a while.

I'd been talking with Sarah (the real one) about doing a column as her comic strip counterpart. We decided that it might be fun to do an advice column. Much like Ann Landers or Dear Abby. You write in with a question, be it one about boys, or sex, or modeling, or semi-conductor physics and the Hellcats' very own Science Officer will do her best to answer it right here in this blog. It should be a blast.

You'll be able to view her past columns in the "Ask Sarah!" link in the Extras menu.

So here's your chance to talk to a real life comic book character. How often does that happen?

Send your questions to AskSarah@CosmicHellcats.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

It's been a while since I posted any new notes here, other than the comic. I certainly hope everyone has been enjoying it. Please, let us know, either by commenting on the comics themselves (you can create an account or simply click "comment anonymously" or by sending us mail at feedback@cosmichellcats.com.

Hopefully we'll get some new sketches up in the sketchbook soon. In the meantime, we're happy to share this fanpic from flickr user, Mickey Sacks. Mickey is also petitioning for a  place being a future Hellcat. Now that we've had several people ask, I'm going to issue a formal challenge. If you'd like to be a Hellcat in a future storyline (or perhaps a TEDD-IJA, like Kennedy), then please send a picture of yourself dressed as a Hellcat to us at feedback@cosmichellcats.com. Maybe one day you'll be in the comic.

And we'd still like to see hand drawn fan art as well. It's been a while since we got any of those submitted. So if you'd like to take a shot at drawing the Hellcats, please do so and send it to us and we'll post that here as well. Maybe one day we'll even have a week of guest strips or something that people can do. But one step at a time.

Anyway, what do you think? Should Mickey be the next Hellcat?

First of all, to any new readers, welcome. I hope you're enjoying both the comic and the site. Take a look around, read all the back episodes starting with the first. Let us know what you think by commenting on the comics or sending us email. If you really enjoy what you're reading, please consider buying the first issue of the paper comic in the Hellcats bookstore. It's not just what you see here, it's a completely new story featuring the girls and even some of their real photos. Like the one to the right.

Why are there new readers? Well, Max and I made the decision to start advertising. That's brought a lot of new visitors to the site in the last 24 hours and hopefully even more to come in the coming days.

We're advertising through Project Wonderful. We've also decided to start selling ad space through them. There are now ad blocks available on this site Three square blocks in the ad sidebar all the way to the right of this page, eight button blocks across the very bottom of the page and one featured banner that appears throughout the site. Project Wonderful has a very interesting auction business plan approach to selling advertising. Rather than rotate ads, they're constant until you're outbid or you don't want to pay anymore. It's a pretty good system that I've been pretty happy with. So if you've got a website that you want to promote, please by all means, bid on one of our blocks there and you'll be advertising here in no time.

And on to the "sexy stuff". I had been meaning to put some shots of the girls "out of costume" up here on the site, but I hadn't gotten around to it. It was always our intent to have this site be a little different by featuring pinups of the real girls to go along with their characters, so I decided to add a few today. That's the real Amaya Solace above and below we have pics of the real Sarah Prankha, Chaste and Damsel Reed.

Again, I welcome all the new viewers, and I say thank you to everyone who's been with us since the beginning or anywhere in between. We've got a lot of cool stuff planned so keep coming back.

In some ways, posting fanpics is more fun than working on comic itself. Don't get me wrong. I love writing the comic, and without the comic there's nothing for people to send in fan pics for. But it's always nice to see that there are people out there who like the strip.

This one was sent in from Like_Shipwrecks. She says that she tried to draw a hellcat, but it wasn't working out so she decided to just dressup as one. Her original drawing is below. I don't know, as good as the drawing is, seeing her is even better.

What do you think? Have we found the next Cosmic Hellcat?

If you have fan art, or you've dressed up as a character from the strip, send it to us at feedback@cosmichellcats.com.

We had a great time at Comicon, of course. The book did really well and we met a lot of fans and even did a couple of interviews. The girls seem to have had a blast. I keep looking around Flickr and seeing Hellcat pictures popping up everywhere.

Took a lot of pictures out there of a lot of people in a lot of great outfits. Decided to add them here. In the future, any pics we have from fans, be they photos with max, the girls, and myself, or fanart that people have drawn will be added to the Fan Pics section of the website. I actually have a couple of really good sketches by Indy Comic artist Kristoffer Smith that I will be putting up as soon as I have time. But until then, enjoy these photos from the con. Even more pictures from comicon, including all those without the 'Cats, but with some great costumes nonetheless are on my flickr page. If you have your own pics with the 'Cats you'd like uploaded here or if you have any fan sketches, please send them to feedback@cosmichellcats.com.

Also, we're hard at work on issue 2 of Cosmic Hellcats IX. But until then, be sure to check out the website for the new Web Comics section of the site for the brand new Cosmic Hellcats Adventures webcomic that Max and I just started. We'll be updating it a couple times a week with further exploits of the 'Cats. These will probably even be sillier than what happens in the main book, which from now on is going to center more on story. Hopefully, we'll also be making Adventures into a published comic or manga as well, once we have enough of them. But that's off in the future. Until then, just enjoy them here.

The first issue of Cosmic Hellcats IX is also still available. So if you don't have it yet, head over to the Bookstore and grab a copy. The more we sell, the sooner issue 2 can come out.
