So as Max said earlier, I had a massive hard drive crash this week which pretty much put my computer out of commission since Tuesday. This meant that there was no Cosmic Hellcat Adventure ready for Thursday and Max was nice enough to produce an emergency Hellcat Cosmos chronicling my (and Fluffy's) plight. The funny thing is, Fluffy was just bragging about his backups the other day.
Anyway, It took a few days, but my computer is restored from backups, with a brand spanking new hard drive. And as of a few hours ago, all of the data has been restored. The problem was, without a computer the last few days I was unable to work on the strip that was supposed to air Thursday (and thus postponed til today). But since I had a bit of free time, I decided to pencil a Cosmos of my own, which is what you're seeing as today's strip. Once the strip was done and my computer restored, I scanned it and quickly inked it in a nifty little program I picked up several months ago (but never really got much chance to play with) called Manga Studio. It's a little rough around the edges, but I like it and I think I need to play with it some more. If any other comic artists out there are reading this, I highly recommend you take a look at it. Between that, and my trusty Wacom tablet, it's has a great "inking" feel to it.
Anyway, in order to get back on schedule, we're going to run one more Cosmos on Monday and then the regular story will be back next Thursday with the return of everyone's favorite Vulpinoids, the Starfoxes!
Thank you so much for bearing with us.

So please, check back in a couple hours for the next exciting installment of Cosmic Hellcats.

Just today my mother (who the debuting character of Admiral Kitty is based on) asked me how to vote to make the comic more popular.
If my own mother doesn't understand that, then I figure we're really in trouble. So I decided maybe it was time to remind people. The four buttons across the top of the main page of this site show our ranking on various webcomic ranking sites. If you click on them, you make us more popular and thus we can make more money and then bring you more comics. Everyone wins!
Each site has a slightly different voting mechanism.
- The Web Comic List - Is a comic management system. Just by clicking the button, you improve our rank. Once there you can create an account if you want, and favorite Hellcats, and other comics and it'll let you know when they update and give you recommendations for other comics you might enjoy. (if you mark us as a favorite, our rank improves even more, and it's better at recommending other comics to you).
- Webcomic Planet - Another webcomic management system. Works like the first. Click to improve our rank and create an account and favorite us to improve us even further and get recommendations.
- Webcomiz - Is a webcomic voting system. It has some management features, but you need to click then enter in a CAPTCHA to prove you're a real person. It's less about personal recommendations and more just about telling you what's popular.
- Top Web Comics - Another voting system, this time with an avatar based CAPTCHA.
Voting on Top Web Comics and Webcomic Planet will give you access to a different Hellcats bonus page everytime you vote. Sadly, the other don't allow that option, but still, its good for us, and that makes it good for you.
So go ahead and make sure you vote for us on each one once per day. And tell all your friends to come here and read the comic and vote too. The sooner we're getting 1 million views a day, the sooner Max and I can quit our day jobs and start working on an animated Hellcats cartoon! Wouldn't that be great?
OH! And be sure to come back Saturday for the debut of our new weekly side comic feature!

Today's strip represents the end of this storyline in Cosmic Hellcats adventures. Thanks for sticking around with us. I hope you've enjoyed it. Drop us a line atfeedback@cosmichellcats.com or comment on the entries in this blog or the comic itself and let us know what you think.
Next we have somewhere between 1 and 3 fill-in strips by guest artists (still waiting on them) and then we'll be returning with the next storyline with new characters and Max's updated artwork. Hope to see you here.

I hope everyone has been enjoying Cosmic Hellcats so far. We've been working hard trying to both move the storyline along and make each installment interesting at the same time. I hope we're holding your interest. If you get a chance either leave us a comment or drop us a line and let us know what you think. The current storyline should be wrapping up in the next month or so and then we will be on to the next one. I hope you keep with us til then and beyond.
I wanted to take this moment to mention some other webcomics that I have been enjoying lately. Things that, while not directly related, probably inspire me on some level or another. So fi you like Cosmic Hellcats, then you may want to check some of these out.
1. Menage a 3 - Like Three's Company but way more sexy. The life of a geek and his oversexed attractive two female roommates.
2. Evil Inc. - What happens when supervillains get tired of losing to heroes? They move their evil off the streets and into the 21st century. The corporate boardroom.
3. Spacetime Condominium - A guy gets evicted from his apartment and moves into a luxury condo at the edge of reality. His new roommate? Parallel universe versions of himself.
All three of them are quite funny and worth checking out. And make sure your friends all check out Cosmic Hellcats. And vote for us on the webcomic boards linked at the top of the main page of this site. Max and I have the dream of one day doing this comic fulltime. When that happens you could have a new Hellcats everyday, but that can't happen unless we become a lot more popular. You can help us out!
And while you're at it, buy the original Cosmic Hellcats paper comic, available from our bookstore! We hope to have a followup issue sometime soon as well, but until that happens we'd love to know what you think of the first one, so check it out!

Well, that clearly has to change. So I decided that since the Christmas Holidays are coming up and its so cold outside, I'd help all of our fans warm up with some Out-of-character (and clothing) pics of the girls.
Hopefully it won't be too long before I have time to put even more shots of them up.
In the meantime, I'm looking for suggestions from you the readers. What do you want to see, both in the strip and on the site? Lots of people have asked for us to introduce more characters, and that will be coming after the current story arc ends.
But what else are you looking for? What do you like? What do you not like? Do you prefer our storyline driven scripts or do you like it when we go for more humor oriented stories? Do you like when we stick with one character or subplot for several strips in a row or do you prefer when we jump around and let you see a little of everybody? Who are your favorite characters? Who do you want to see more of? Or less of?
And out of the strip, what other things should we be adding to the site? We've considered contests, more merchandise (t-shirts, and the like), a series of "serious" text stories featuring the characters. Guest strips. More "Ask Sarah!" advice columns? But what would you like to see?
Any suggestions or comments you may have, please leave here or send them to us at feedback@cosmichellcats.com. Also send us mail there if you have any fanart or pics and we'll get them posted here as well. Hope to hear from you soon.
Happy Holidays,

So there's a new feature here at Cosmic Hellcats that we've wanted to try for a while.
I'd been talking with Sarah (the real one) about doing a column as her comic strip counterpart. We decided that it might be fun to do an advice column. Much like Ann Landers or Dear Abby. You write in with a question, be it one about boys, or sex, or modeling, or semi-conductor physics and the Hellcats' very own Science Officer will do her best to answer it right here in this blog. It should be a blast.
You'll be able to view her past columns in the "Ask Sarah!" link in the Extras menu.
So here's your chance to talk to a real life comic book character. How often does that happen?
Send your questions to AskSarah@CosmicHellcats.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

If you look closely, you'll notice that all of our comics now have a link under the to WordOwl.com.
WordOwl is a website that I came across recently that transcribes comics and provides a search engine for those transcriptions. This may very well be the coolest thing of all time.
Have you ever wanted to find "that comic where Sarah had the drunken hiccups?" Well, now you can. If you'd like to search the Word Owl archives for our site, just click here. Or above any comic on the site.

Cosmic Hellcats IX is a comedic science fiction epic. The story of a four woman team of Felinoids on an intergalatic mission of scientific discovery and peacekeeping.
The characters are based on four gorgeous real life models, Chaste, Damsel Reed, Sarah Prankha and Amaya Solace. All four girls had worked with photographer, Chris Maverick, and inspired him to write a comic featuring him. Art is provided by Mav's longtime friend and collaborator, Maximilian.
Or order the comic online from IndyPlanet. If you'd like something really special order the Portfolio edition from Blurb.com. The Portfolio edition includes the first issue of the comic as well as a collection of pinups (both drawings by Max and Photographs by Mav) of each of the Hellcats as well as photos of each of the Hellcats from other photoshoots they've done with Mav.
Pick one or both up today. Then come back here, to CosmicHellcats.com for the debut of the Cosmic Hellcats webcomic.
